Joanna Rice has 25 years of industry experience. As a pr consultant since 2002,she has performed project work for clients of the Health Care and Consumer Groups at Porter Novelli, New York (PNNY), Braintree Laboratories, Inc., BCI Public Relations, DenMat Holdings, Grey Matter Marketing, Isolite Systems, Inc., Lupus International, Miramar Labs and Medtronic Diabetes, as well as pro bono work for H.O.P.E., Inc., the Vets and Vines Foundation and Valor Industries. She has provided extensive media relations support for national and local market initiatives, pr program development, press material, newsletter and brochure development, as well as medical meeting support and ongoing strategic counsel.

Prior to consulting, Joanna was a Senior Account Executive in the Health Care Group at PNNY, servicing such pharmaceutical companies as GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Novartis and Pfizer, as well as Collagen Corporation, Braun and working with the American Cancer Society to promote the Great American Smokeout that earned the account team a 1998 CIPRA Award.

In addition to excellent writing and communications skills, Joanna is well versed in new product introductions, media briefings and medical meeting support. She also has experience coordinating FDA Advisory Committee Meetings, National Press Club events, media training, crisis communications, investor relations and new business development.

Prior to joining Porter Novelli Joanna managed pr efforts for the New York International Auto Show where she was responsible for media outreach efforts including, coordinating press conferences and scheduling/securing interviews for over 3,000 members of the national and International press,. Her efforts resulted in increased attendance and the highest press preview day attendance to-date. She also handled pr efforts for magazine/publishing clients including Cooking Light, Hemming's Motor News, Inc., Shutterbug and Windows magazines.

Joanna has a B.A. in Communication from UC San Diego (3.65 GPA) and resides in San Clemente, CA.
